Level A: Home-based approach to service organizations
These companies operate by utilizing internal employees and doing a lot of work at their own site. They are interested in cost saving, and want a service organization. They have no real experience with project work and usually have tried to start their company at a career department store or have contracted their work to outside vendors before. These organizations are flexible and want a service department.
Level B: Mailing Franchise
This organization hyper-focused on quick service. Due to their focus, they actually prefer help desk work to development work. These organizations have experienced recently on the market with all of the technology solutions, and typically have their own resource groups as well. These organizations will have experience with good and bad technology and methods. They even understand the entire software process. These companies are flexible with their approach and enjoy a streamlined delivery system, mostly through internal employees. They are in the middle-of-the-road with respect to their flexibility and service.
Level C: Architecture Performance
These organizations attempt to have total strength in construction, and use call centers and local resources heavily. These organizations try to put in the most powerful hardware in their building yet still do not have the attention to detail. These organizations expect a bare bones call center with these systems, and are often dedicated to this work in their own facility. These companies only have part time employees at their main site to handle the call volume.
Level D: Customer Research Company
This organization expects strength in delivery and is about customer satisfaction. This organization thrives on new technologies, and they will have multiple sites spread around the world performing this work. They will have no in-office staff and will have several part-timers and/or a team of consultants.
Level E: Offshore Call Center
This organization has an extremely short-term focus. They rely on video-conferencing to handle their non- downtown work, and they are actually extremely focused on offshore companies, and companies in other remote locations for their non- ignite pipeline. These companies expect very dedicated, hard-working, and aware staff to handle all formal and informal processes; this includes making more calls on that particular monitoring live-online services using a service agenda, jotting down notes and communications, and strangely enough, taking notes during conversations with another manager. These companies have a major problem in terms of understanding the differing business needs of their team.
Level F: Internal Communication Executive
This organization requires strong business and IT consulting skills, and they expect a dedicated staff, however this is not expected to be consistent throughout their organization. This organization prefers flexible and respected ongoing communication with them in order to make set-up naturally and quicker. These companies realize a little of each process, but are highly inefficient in the overall process and expect Mother Nature to bring loads of more pressure.
Level G: Call Center of Choice
This organization focuses on consulting and decision making. This organization looks primarily at just ordering and returning work all of the time. This is the best solution for completing your offshore projects because of highly productive availability of work force, and the ability to provide extensive window and company resources. These companies will have very resourceful staff, and the offshore development model will work beautifully. They will also build that all critical mass works extremely well.
Level H: Open Innovation Company
These companies prefer a quick and flexible operating method. These companies will need to move quickly to be successful. These companies will need to be flexible enough to adapt to any eventualities and shift to fast, they will need to adapt to changes in the business often. This does not mean that they will have poor processes, but others will be able to infuse n Magnificant improvements in these companies. These companies will have access to the desired solution for their business and will actually have out decreased the cost of project programs because of their methodical approach.
Each of these four types of offshore development organizations will have a very different approach to business requirements. It would be important for all projects in these organizations to understand if the business needs are the exact same as their solutions.
